An introduction to the colour red

How do you feel about the colour red? Do you like it?

I like red a lot... I don’t have a favourite colour, but red is definitely the colour that suits my personality and energy the most. I feel good when I wear it. Red is the colour of blood, so it is the colour of life. And when I wear it, I feel alive.

Red is the colour of passion, and to me, it is not the sexy colour like many people think ...

It is also the colour of courage, survival, determination and attention-seeking.

Are you attracted to the energy of the colour red?

The people who love red, the people who are attracted to its energy, tend to have a high energy themselves. They are very active, very vibrant and full of life.

They have a strong will power. They love to lead and influence. They do not tend to follow the crowd and they don't have to, because they are the creators.

They are very competitive, and they are not scared to take risks.

They are also very warm, friendly, and sociable, and they LOVE being the centre of attention. And it is to be expected because the colour red grabs your attention before any other colour.

On the other side, they may be restless, impatient, and they may find it difficult to relax or sit down for a long period of time. They can be insecure, causing them to want to control others. And because they can be so headstrong, they can get very frustrated if things are not going their way.

When do you wear the colour red?

Well, when you want to get attention. Red is a colour that will make you stand out from the crowd.

It’s a great colour to wear if you want to make a good impression, especially in a job interview, or if you are going for a promotion because face it, in both situations, you want to be memorable. You will project an image of someone who is confident, enthusiastic, motivated and driven.

It is also a great colour to wear if you want to make new friends or if you are going on a date.

Red is a very flattering colour, and I highly recommend wearing it because you will radiate health and happiness. People will see someone that is warm and friendly.

Men are more likely to find you attractive in red by the way... because men like to play and have fun. They do not want to marry their mums…. they want to marry their best friend. They want to have fun... and when they see you wearing red, they see someone that is fun to be with and, they feel that they are going to have a good time with you.

All colours have positive and negative psychological qualities.

Don’t overdo it with the colour red!

If you have the wrong shade of it on, it will strain you physically. And if you are wearing too much of it, you will project someone that is aggressive and demanding. I can guarantee you that people will feel very uncomfortable around you.

Too much of one colour or wearing completely the wrong shade will portray the negative aspect of that colour.

What I have noticed is a lot of people think that the colour red doesn’t suit them or they don’t feel comfortable wearing it. And it is a shame because it is such a flattering colour to wear. I believe that what is stopping them from wearing it is the lack of knowledge about what suits them.

If you hate the colour red...

To me it means that you may have a dysfunctional Root Chakra. And this will be the topic for my next blog post...

Anyway, I hope you are going to think differently about the colour red because it is such a beautiful colour... I mean all the colours are beautiful... but the colour red is a very powerful, flattering and confident colour that everyone should have in their wardrobes...
