Live life on your own terms


"You’ll learn, as you get older, that rules are made to be broken. Be bold enough to live life on your terms, and never, ever apologize for it. Go against the grain, refuse to conform, take the road less travelled instead of the well-beaten path. Laugh in the face of adversity, and leap before you look. Dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. March to the beat of your own drummer. And stubbornly refuse to fit in.”

I love this quote from Mandy Hale. So inspirational for us women. We all aspire to be, do and achieve amazing things with our life. Don’t you agree?

I have listed 15 things that I practice daily and challenge you to live your life on your own terms:

  1. Be grateful for what you already have. Free yourself from people that bring you down and surround yourself with people that are positive and supportive.

  2. Don’t assume that you can’t do something. At least give it a try. If it doesn’t work out, then try something else.

  3. Believe in yourself and don’t follow the crowd.

  4. Follow your heart and make that decision.

  5. Accept that it is okay to fail and to make mistakes.

  6. Don’t envy people. Instead, learn from them.

  7. Control your negative thoughts.

  8. Stand up for yourself.

  9. Be true to yourself and love who you are.

  10. Be a participant in life. Not a spectator.

  11. Design your beautiful life. And don’t live your life to people’s expectations.

  12. Face your fears.

  13. Take risks and accept full responsibility for any outcomes.

  14. Stop caring about what people may think of you. Face it, they will anyway!
